Stretch Slowly For Maximum Benefit


Before engaging in any physical activity, it is important to stretch your muscles. Remember, stretching should never be painful.
Do not over-extend yourself and avoid jerking your body or bouncing. Instead, stretch until you feel a tolerable tightness in your muscles and hold until this eases (generally 10-15 seconds). Also, remember to breathe in and out rhythmically and slowly as you stretch.
