How Healthy Are You?
We have the ability to live a full and enriched life…if we exhibit level of health whereby there is room and space to experience this!
The more space that we have, the more room and adaptability we also have.
On a scale of 1 – 100 you will experience more life, have more ‘space’ and have more adaptability and room to move the closer to 100 you are on that scale.
How do you know where you are along that scale? Do you base it on how you look or feel, or have you had someone measure the efficiency of your body to adapt and function to the best of its ability in our ever changing environment.
Are Your Habits Running Your Life?
What the score tells us is about the ‘stain’ (think red wine in white carpet) on your nervous system – how you have coped, and are coping with the stressors of life. These scores also tell me how you look after yourself. Our role is to stop that score (reflecting your health and wellbeing) from getting worse, and more importantly to help it improve and rise.
My role is to enhance your health, gradually removing the ‘stain’ upon the nervous system.
The symptoms that you may or may not present with are all related to the way in which your body has been locked in a stress cycle. Because your body is adaptable, it will often inadvertently negatively adapt when placed under undue stress. As we are faced with more stress, these patterns become more inground and become what we call ‘habits’, much like a deeper darker stain (more red wine onto the white carpet), leading to muscle ache and degenerative change being set up. Our body is continually over reacting to external stress.
Tired & Fatigued
The number one thing people report to us is Tiredness & Fatigue.
This tiredness can be measured through our inability to adapt to gravity. You might also call it bad posture.
90% of the energy output of the brain is used in relating the physical body to gravity. That is, it costs us a lot of energy to remain upright.
To measure this, we use an EMG.
Low scores will often indicate poor posture, fatigue and exhaustion.
To look at how you are adapting to external stressors, we use Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
Physiology shows us that when we are placed into a ‘fight or flight’ or a stress response, it puts our body into an inflammatory state…our body starts to break down.
In today’s day and age, we are not only being placed into an acute stress state but into a chronically stressed state also.
People showing low scores do not readily adapt to change, their thought can be ‘foggy’, memory poor, have little energy in reserve, can be run down/ exhausted, might show poor sleep, crave ‘sugar’ or stimulants to keep them going, have specific habit patterns (e.g. weight gain) that they find hard to break. There is poor injury recovery (e.g. athletes who overtrain) and these people’s immunity will also be depleted.
Sick & Run Down?
Finally, the Thermal scans. This will show (a) areas under stress causing inflammation and (b) organs and glands being placed under undue stress.
Low scores can often indicate such things as sluggish metabolism (bowel, digestion or recurrent infection) or a poor immune response.
People with low scores here often are getting sicker and sicker.
